My research focuses on human-animal interactions their practical application for the development of training plans that are efficient, effective, and humane. My goal is to help dogs and their people live happier, healthier lives together.

Effects of An Owner-Education Invention on the Identification of Discomfort in Puppies
The aim of this research is to analyze three different tools, all designed to teach puppy owners about puppy body language, and determine which tool resulted in the greatest learning from participants. This research will inform professionals how to teach puppy owners about puppy body language.

Identifying the Behaviors Displayed by Puppies when Meeting a Friendly Stranger for the First Time
The aim of this research is to identify the behaviors that puppies typically display when meeting strangers for the first time. The results of this study will inform professionals as to how to guide puppy owners through the crucial puppy socialization period.
